Paolo Sanna OKRA percussion project - GREEN LAYA CONFERENCE Plus Timbre, 2014 review by Anthony Ettorre page 24 "" Le frontiere della sperimentazione non esistono e Paolo Sanna lo sa molto bene. L’avanguardia proposta in “OKRA” è quella di una rassicurante contemporaneità. Il suono per chi improvvisa è la concretizzazione della propria istintività e ogni virtuosismo diventa veicolo; ogni trasgressione, seppur sussurrata, ne fa da contrappunto... L’ascoltatore subisce l’inaspettato, percepisce l’espressione artistica pura ed è messo a nudo nel suo ruolo di impotente fruitore. Le esplorazioni percussive di Sanna si dipanano attraverso oltre 32 minuti di pura improvvisazione. La formazione Igor N. Pusceddu, Giacomo Salis e Paolo Sanna, attrezzati di vari tipi di gong e oggetti di ogni tipo si esprime attraverso un estemporaneo vissuto estetico-musicale sobrio e accattivante. Si tratta di improvvisazione pacata, ambientale, meditativa, estremamente intensa e penetrante. Musica concreta che accarezza i sensi senza eccessi. L’operazione pubblicata e distribuita dalla rigorosa Plus Timbre, netabel dedicata unicamente a musica sperimentale e improvvisata, spazia all’interno di una rilevante varietà di stili musicali.
